Q: How is the human body put together?
A: It’s not.
This dawned on me yesterday while driving and talking to myself — yes, I do that a lot — and how many times I have used that expression.
Because we sure *look* a lot like an elaborate machine; and machines are, indeed, assembled.
But a tree is not assembled. Nor is a plankton, a tree frog or were you.
They all — We all — grew from one seed, fertilized.
The implications of this are, for me, profound. Really being with this truth, not just skimming over it with “Yeah, the body is connected, I know …”
Machine parts are connected.
Body “parts” are the same thing, expressed as different things.
